BIMzeED at BIM Trends and Innovation congress (BIMTI 2019)

BIMzeED will be presented at the BIM Trends and Innovation by project partner ITeC. During the congress they will explain how the BIM methodology allows to reach nZEB buildings beyond heating/cooling installations. Furthermore, it will also show how BIMzeED sets the challenge of increasing and improving the skills of BIM and nZEB for the current and future construction industry.

The event is organized by ISEPBIM and aims to promote and disseminate the BIM methodology in the technical and academic communities. It will take place on 04 December in the Auditorium Vítor Santos, of the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto, Portugal.

After the success of previous years with the participation of renowned international specialists in the BIM area, this 4th edition follows the same strategy and counts on the presence of national and international experts from companies such as Buro Happold, Foster & Partner, SWECO Norway and INFRABIM – among others. The event’s program includes two sessions focused on the experience and sustainability in Europe and on the consolidated areas developed in the application of BIM methodologies.

Licinio Alfaro, head of ITeC’ Sustainable Construction Department and project manager of the environmental software for the calculation of waste, CO2 and kWh in construction and civil works, will be in charge of representing the BIMzeED project at the BIMTI 2019 congress and will speak about greater employability, increasing youth employment, reducing carbon emissions and improve the skills in the design of nZEB buildings from BIM.
