BIMzeED at the 12th BUILD UP Skills exchange meeting
The 12th edition of the BUILD UP Skills European exchange meeting was organised as an online event on 9th-10th December 2020. The first day of the event was a public workshop focusing on the role of skilled building professionals to deliver the European Green Deal. Speakers from stakeholder organisations and several departments of the European Commission gave their insights on how the contribution of professionals can be made more visible and valued by the market. On 10th December, EASME held an exchange meeting for ongoing and former projects, with group discussions allowing to network and exchange on challenges and best practices, as well as put forward ideas for future funding programmes. During the second day BIMzeED was also included as member of the BIM Energy Perfomance Alliance within Paul McCormack’s presentation dedicated to the BIMCert project and the BIM Alliance. A group of projects funded by Horizon 2020 and part of the BUILD UP Skills initiative have set up BIM Alliance, as a space for collaboration to explore areas of mutual opportunity and to minimise the energy footprint in construction. Along with BIMcert, BIMplement, Net-UBIEP and BIMEET, BIMzeED was also featured as an important project developing digital, online courses focusing on BIM modules. The 12th was the last BUILD UP Skills exchange meeting organised in the current programming period and it provided a great opportunity for the BUILD UP community to exchange good practices.
